I am so sorry for your loss. Your husband sounded like a great man. but youre right about God having his reasons. the thing is that i share the same fear that u shared. My father goes out and works on broke down semis on the side of the Highway. I cant help but to worry that someting like that is going to happen to him. i know your heart is heavy but just know that he is still w u.

How can we stop the madness of duii fatalities
by: Lorri Standley

I am so very sorry for your loss.. I lost (lost) is the most untrue word to use, we did not lose our loved ones they were stolen from us by drunk drivers who chose not to care about their lives or anyone else's lives including the surviving victims which we are. So my brother was stolen from my life on Jan 14th 2006 which also happened to be my 35th B'day. It was my worst nightmare come true. I am still living threw it as of now. The driver that KILLED my brother, it was his 4th Duii and not to mention my brothers best friends little brother. It definitly complicated things ten fold. It took forever for the trial to come. That was a nightmare in itself, the driver plead not guilty and tried to blame my brother because he was dead, it didn't work. The judge saw right threw him, thank god. He was sentenced to 15 yrs 8 months no early release either. Not one day... Good luck in your healing and grief. My prayers are with you... Lorri.
