My 17 year old daughter and her 20 year old boyfriend was on a date heading back to their home town from the huge mall they had went shopping at in Charleston S.C. As they waited on a on coming car at a red light to turn on to highway 52 they were hit and killed by a drunk driver who was twice the legal limit, ran a red light and was speeding. My daughter was mangled and killed instantly her boyfriend died in surgery. The man spent about a week or less in jail, was on house arrest which we found out in court meant nothing for from 7am. to 7p.m. he could go anywhere. He went to court over two years later and got ten years which meant 8 1-2 in this state and the judge gave him 2 years off for time served. he is now in a prison where his family can sit with him, hold him, and kiss him for the next 6 1-2 unless they let him out at a prole hearing. My child cannot be touch and does not get out of her grave in 6 1-2. The system is not fair and drivers in this state keep right on doing it.
