Three months before death
Donna Eddy, Left work early Thursday labor day weekend to pick up her granddaughter for the weekend. Donna made it a short distance from where she had picked her granddaughter up from. Donna was hit, head on, by a GMC 4x4 TRUCK going over 70 mph. She was pronounced dead on impact. Her granddaughter who was also in the car was rushed to hospital with non life threatening injuries. Donna left behind three children and one granddaughter who she loved and made sacrifices for. Donna would usually pick up her granddaughter for the weekend to spend time with her. She also loved and cared for her three children.
Donna was a great mother and a friend to so many. She was at a time in her life where things were going well and she was robbed of the rest of her life. She was only 53. Now she will never be able to see her granddaughter, that she loved so much, grow up. She will never get to see her children get married. She will never get to see her future grandchildren. She will never get to grow old with her sisters. She will never get to visit her daughter in Denver again. She will never get to go on vacation again. She will never get to enjoy anything ever again....the list goes on forever...like I said she was robbed!
When people decide to drink and get behind the wheel they don't realize the damage they can do and the lives they can shatter. It may seem innocent but the damage and devastation it causes the family of the victim is tremendous, horrible, and a constant nightmare. The man who killed Donna had a previous record with driving under the influence. A total disregard for others.
