Jenna and Perry were driving home from a relatives house on october 6th 2010 when they were hit head on by a drunk driver going 65 miles an hour.The drunk driver was driving down the wrong side of the highway at night. Jenna and Perry were pronounced dead at the scene and thier two children ages 1 and 2 were flown to Lubbock hospital with severe truama. The oldest daughter of Jenna and Perry had a broken arm. hip,and leg. Thier youngest daughter has severe swelling in her brain, broken arm and leg, and is in a coma fighting for her life. The driver has been arrested and charged with 2 counts of intoxicated manslaughter and 2 counts of intoxication assault with serious bodily injuries. He was being held on bonds totaling $1,020,000, Jenna and Perry were driving a red for taurus and the drunk driver was driving a 2009 cadillac.

Every time i have to go to Midland on 191 i get this sudden sadness come over me knowing im fixing to have to pass the spot Jenna and Perry were killed. I can still see parts of the car there and the it makes my whole day feel like im reliving the day i found out they were killed. It hurts inside knowing that 2 beautiful people were killed all because of a careless action that could have been prevented. all we have left to keep Jenna and Perry alive is the memories each one of the friends and family have of them in order to pass the moments we have with the girls. I hate how things in life pan out, but i promise you in the end justice will be served. I saw Joel and it took every ounce of my inner being to not run him off the road, not because i wasnt able to, only because he had someone driving him and to take an innocent life would make me no better than him. I have nightmares of seeing him on the sidewalk and just taking my car and plowing into him. Yet again that would make me no better than him. Sweet revenge could not come any faster than the theif in the night.

Wow joel u really dodged a bullet on this one! Its ok though cuz wat goes around comes around an u got it comin u p.o.s. couldnt even show wat littly nutz u do have an at least admit to the family that the DEATHS of their loved ones r YOUR FAULT!! Justice is served..its too bad he couldnt just man up and admitt his faults.. Instead tried blameing it on "sleep apnea". This should be a lesson to all those who think its ok to consume alcohol an still get behind the wheel of a car..2 lives are forever gone an 2 beautiful babies now have to grow up without their parents because of one cowards mistake.may be now tavarez's friends and family can throw him a going away party like the coming home party he got when he bonded out... Jena an Perry u will always be missed but never forgotten.. Love u both

the trial has been set once again for the 5th and 10th of march. hopefully all goes well and the man goes to prison for ever.

Well today marks the one year for the tragic passing of Jenna and Perry. The drunk driver has not been to court yet, but on a better note the girls are doing great. The babies are doing wonderful. We miss them both and this will take many years and prayers to be able to adjust to the fact that they are not coming back. I just hope that justice will be served above and beyond, and i hate knowing he is still free to live his life until it is time to go to court.

Just to let you all know, by te grace of God, both babies made it. One was on and off life support for 30 days. The driver who caused the accident actually was out of jail before this baby even woke up. And then went home and had a "welcome home" party... Sad that the family and people affected by this does even think he learned anything. Trial date has still not be set but most likely happen in dec/nov.. Over a year after the accident.
