My sister who had been a widowed for six years, met a young bank manager. After dating for some months or a year, on the night that he gave her engagement ring to her they had a dinner celebration. Pepe the groom was drunk, she and him went out of a bar and a mile and a half later they were both dead. Pepe was drunk and lost control of vehicle, my sister flew out of car and hit the concrete sidewall of a river bank, Pepe went on to hit a concrete light post base dying instantly.
Her daughter is now 15 and lives with my sister.
This happened in Culiacan Mexico 8 years ago on June 8th I believe at around 4am.
I don't have any pictures. I am glad that no other people were killed or injured due to the irresponsibility of this driver.
I have chosen NOT to hold any grudges towards him or anyone, it is what it is.
I have been sober for 10 years now, and all I can say is, you do not have to drink, it is easy to believe that you have to;
It is easier still to test yourself and see if you can drink. If you show a compulsion and find it hard to stop after two or three drinks, your body is not meant for drinking, there are people that can do it.
But we live in a society that segregates alcohol from other drugs, they are the same thing, substances that your body does not produce thus alcohol is as or more potent than other drugs.
Do not be fooled by this social fact, that just because the law permits it it is ok. Know your limits, the product does not make the poison it is the dose.
Feel free to write with any questions in regards of loosing a loved one.
