With a heavy heart I reach out to take the hand of anyone who is suffering due to the unexpected loss of their loved one due to a drunk driver's careless actions. Although the pain may subside, nothing can take away the emptiness and yearning to be with their loved one again. On the night of March 11, 2005, my beautiful mother was on her way to work. On the same night, at the same time, another woman, drunk and behind the wheel, was on her way home from a night of partying and drinking. She ran through her red light and slammed into my mother's vehicle. The impact totaled the car my mother was driving and took a hard toll on her body as well. With multiple broken bones as well as a lacerated liver, there was not much doctors could do to save her precious life. Since that moment, my life has been forever changed. I miss you so much Mom, and cannot wait until the day when you can wrap me in your arms again....... I hope you are proud of the woman you raised me to be. I love you and miss you always.
