My Mom Was Killed

On March 2, 2007 my mother was killed by a drunk driver as she headed to the cemetary to visit my fathers grave. She had just left church and was dressed in all white after having taken what was now her final communion.

She died right outside the gate of the cemetary.

My mother never drank and taught her children to drink responsibly. The drunk driver who killed my mother was sentenced to 15 years in prison but it still doesn't seem like enough time. He never apologized and even blamed her at his sentencing.

After two years and nine months it still hurts.
