My sister, My friend Cindy

I want to tell you that on Feb 17,2009 my sister was on her way home from her 2nd job about 11:15pm when a drunk driver driving a f150 hit her kia. My sister was alert after the accident and told an emt that she was going to die that night, at about 2:30am on Feb 18,2009 my sister died on a operating table. As for the driver he had minor injuries.
That's the beginning of my story for my story has only began. We still have the court procedures to go through, we still have the mourning process to go through and we still have to face the man who took her life.
You see my sister Cindy was more than my sister, my best friend, but she was a daughter, a sister to our siblings, a wife, a mother and a grandmother to a little girl that she treasured. We are left to deal with something we don't understand, we are left to make sure her death is not just another number but to make a difference with Cindy's story. Cindy would have wanted us to take her story and to teach others and maybe just maybe save another life.
My story has just begun with Cindy's death, I hope my story will end with this man going to jail, I hope that my story will save someone from having to get the call and finding out that their world has just been changed forever. My story is that drinking and driving takes more than a life a love one but a part of you as well.
