on october 30 2009 in our hometown el paso texas i lost my sister angela gonzalez so tragically to a careless drunk driver her and her friend orlando figueroa were leaving a popular night club area as the club closed they attempted to walk across the street to their friends car they attempted to cross the street as they made it to center lane a drunk driver with no lights on and speeding came and hit my sister and her friend my sister flew 200 feet in the air and landed to her death as her friend orlando flew 100 feet to his death also she left behind a 5yr old son whom im left to raise without her i lost my bestfriend and my only sibling this is so unfair to know that this all could have been prevented had someone sober had driven him home or taken away his keys this would not have happened now we are left to mourn my sisters death she had so much life to live she was only 22yrs old was beautiful smart and had so much to give she never judged no one and always had a open heart so positive on life and everything around her i hope and pray that no one will ever have to go threw this i hope the issue on drunk driving will be taken more serious and people will stop and think before they end a good night cause if not another mother sister daughter grandaughter or loved one could be taken away and over a drink its not worth it rest in peace my sweet sister and orlando
